In realtion to your excellent quote from Vos. I have posted an excerpt on legalism, at my Christ For Australia site. The excerpt is from Dr Robert L. Reymond’s book A New Systematic Theology of the Christian faith. Dr Reymond is a reformed theologian and his book has been warmly endorsed by such notable figures as Edmund P. Clowney, R. Kent Hughes, J.I. Packer, John M. Frame, and Roger Nicole.
I hope you will forgive me for such shameless plugging of my own stuff but I’m quite sure your readers will find Dr Reymond’s clear definition very helpful.
Thanks. Good quote from Reymond. I wouldn’t interpret Vos’ quote—or anything posted on this blog for that matter—as denying the third use of the law.
I haven’t drawn that inference from the excellent Vos quote or your blog posts generally.
