Top 100 Church Blogs (+ 30 bonus blogs)

Kent Shaffer from ChurchRelevance.com compiles and regularly updates his list of “Top 100 Church Blogs”. This time around his Spring update also included 30 bonus blogs. I was humbled and very surprised back in 2009 to read that my old blog made the list and I’m even more surprised now (and thankful) with this blog receiving a mention.

The blogs listed cover a very wide spectrum, but I’m very thankful that there are many blogs that made the list from the “Calvinistic” camp.

    Congrats Nathan.

You’ve always put out quality posts and I’ve enjoyed reading your insights over the past few years. It’s no shock to me that you’re being mentioned. ;)

Keep redeeming the blogosphere for the glory of God.

It appears that top 100 sites is mere count of visitors, not content. Brian McClaren, The Ooze, & Perry Noble make the top 50. gag a maggot.

Nathan – I am glad your site is getting lots of attention. Press on the prize that will not tarnish.

    Erik: Your encouragement is appreciated!

Manfred: No pressing on here for a prize that will tarnish.

Your comment that it is by mere “count of visitors, not content” is the very point I’d like to make. As the list is compiled by “popularity” in one sense and not quality of content, it is even more pointed that there remains those in the list that are from the “Calvinistic” camp and have more biblical content.

If you took a look at Christianity and Evangelicalism in the offline world, I’m not sure you’d expect to see the list weighted the same. However, in the online world, we’re making some ground and holding a voice. For that, I praise God.
