…I’m not sure if this post requires a “geek only warning” but I found this joke rather amusing.

Thanks to Dan Phillips for showing me these delicious looking cupcakes. I know a number of people who’d love to assimilate them (not the least of which is my wife). Resistance is futile!
Oh, and Happy Birthday to my buddy James!

I haven’t had much opportunity to take photos during my time away, but I managed to capture this shot of a blue slide while taking my oldest daughter to a playground.
Clearly I’ve done some post production work (namely a blue hue) but I was really amazed by the lines, curves, textures, and reflections naturally occurring on this piece of play equipment.

3’s What’s New blog pointed me to this Coke powered Nokia mobile. Daizi Zheng is behind this project and says:
“In order to use the bio-battery as a power source for the phone all that is required is a small supply of a sugary drink. Once the battery dies only oxygen and water remains. Bio-batteries are fully biodegradable and have, on a single charge, a potential life-span three to four times longer than conventional lithium batteries. Meanwhile, bio-batteries are a whole new way of looking at batteries and afternoon tea.”
I’ll try not to think of this the next time I consume an ice-cold bottle of battery fluid, I mean, a Coke.

Flickr posted a link to this very creative gallery that allows you to look into the past by combining two photos.
There is a Flickr group dedicated to this theme as well.

I’m not sure how Dan Phillips finds all of these oddities, but I found this animated GIF rather amusing.

Thanks to Steve Sanchez for pointing me to this atheist snowman greeting card.

Microblogging will likely cease over the next few days due to a hectic schedule. See you all next year.

It may be a terrible excuse for laziness, but I still think that not having a creative, inspirational, clean, organised workspace, serves as a hindrance to my productivity. Then I’m reminded of those men before me who were more disciplined than me and worked by candle-light suffering great physical ailments.
Thanks Andy Tan for reminding me of all the places I’m not sitting right now microblogging this.
