Do You Pray In The Spirit?

…Danny Hyde gives a helpful explanation of Jude 20 taken from John Owen and Thomas Manton.

If you want to know these puritans’ view, here is Hyde’s concluding paragraph:

In a word, praying “in the Spirit” for Puritans such as Manton, meant that the child of God prayed because the Spirit of God gave him the ability to pray and to do so in complete reliance upon the Spirit himself.

Be sure to read the whole article though; it serves as an encouragement to come to the LORD boldly in prayer.
